“Unlike numerous art events, we (BGC Arts Foundation) intentionally emphasize just how musicians are such genuine icons of passion. The focus is not just regarding the ongoing work however in the people who ensure it is feasible,” BGC Arts Program’s Head of Content Maria Isabel Garcia said at a press seminar starting the murals on Nov. 22 during the BGC Arts Center.
“Public art is not [a] gimmick. It's not a byproduct of BGC development. It's the slant in its soul,” Ms. Garcia emphasized, stating that the “unbranded public art” ended up being an existing pillar for the BGC development plan.
This year, individual music artists and music artists groups — both local and international — painted on nine surfaces across the city. The project ended up being permitted by a grant through the Fort Bonifacio Development Corp.
